Meet the author

Laura D. Langdale

A wife, mom, grandmother, author, and most importantly, a passionate follower of Jesus Christ.

My husband and I will celebrate 37 years of marriage this November. We have been blessed with one son, a beautiful daughter-in-law, a precious grandson, and a granddaughter on the way. Family is one of God’s greatest gifts in my life, and I am incredibly thankful for every season we get to share together.

For 25 years, I worked as a nurse, but my own health journey began at a young age. At 26, I was diagnosed with arthritis and told that my spine looked like that of a 70-year-old. A few years later, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. After years of living with chronic pain, medications, and eventually cervical fusion surgery, I had to step away from nursing in 2010.

Over the years, I tried many times to improve my health through better nutrition and exercise. I would make progress, but eventually the pain would get the best of me, and I would fall back into old habits. Somewhere along the way, I began believing the lie that because I hadn’t completely conquered my own struggles, I wasn’t qualified to help anyone else.

At the same time, God had placed a calling on my heart to write a book—a calling I carried for more than 20 years. But fear, insecurity, and thoughts that I wasn’t good enough or smart enough kept me from moving forward.

A significant turning point came when I read Living Fearless by Jamie Winship. God used its message to help me recognize how much I had been listening to the lies of the enemy instead of His voice. As I began replacing those lies with the truth of God’s Word, something changed. I realized I didn’t have to have everything figured out before I could obey God. I simply had to step out in faith and trust Him with the rest.

Today, one of my greatest passions is helping others discover who they are in Christ and experience transformation in every area of their lives. I believe caring for our physical bodies and renewing our minds are both important parts of learning to live fully surrendered to God. Transformation isn’t about perfection. It’s about making daily choices, extending ourselves grace when we stumble, and continuing to move forward with God.

That passion became the heart behind my upcoming book, The 75-Day Transformation, a devotional journey designed to encourage readers toward both physical and spiritual transformation through God’s Word, healthy habits, and daily surrender.

My story isn’t about finally getting everything right. It’s about discovering what can happen when we stop believing the lies that have held us back and start believing what God says about us.

And one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is this:

“If you are striving, then God’s not driving!”
